I was trained as a Painter/Printmaker and Art Historian, and worked for 7 years as a Graphics/Web Designer and Art Director before entering the Film business. Since 2003 I have worked on over 600 national Commercials, dozens of Music Videos, several Short Films and Features. For the last 15 years I have worked almost exclusively on whole seasons of fast paced, large scale Competition Reality Shows for almost all television Networks. I have functioned in the roles of Set Dresser, Leadman, Prop Assist, Propmaster, Decorator, Asst. Art Director, Art Director, and Production Designer during my time in the "business". I have been a member of ADG 800 since 2012.
I am an independent thinker, but I love collaboration. I am a capable designer and fabricator myself, but I also really enjoy watching others hone their crafts, practice their crafts, and I gain a tremendous happiness watching/helping those craftspersons find joy and satisfaction in their own work.
My management style is one of listening and hearing, facilitating the great ideas and efforts of those I lead, always offering constructive critiques to help refine those ideas. As workloads are shared, I believe credit should be as well... I have honestly and generously offered my praise of good work to my crews because I've only ever been as good as they are.
